FAQ

What kinds of wood do you use?

The woods we use to construct our guitars range greatly.  In general, we use quality hardwoods such as maple, walnut, purpleheart, bubinga, cherry, ash and sapele.   The woods used in a particular guitar depend upon the overall aesthetic sensibility and tonality of each individual piece.  We are constantly trying new combinations in order to maximize the versatility of the tone.

What are the tonal differences in the woods you use?

For the most part, we use denser woods that result in a bright tone.  In general, we believe that the quality of the wood contributes greatly to the overall sound, which is why we are very particular about the woods we do use.  Because these guitars are true solid body construction, we do not chamber the guitars, and, as a result, they have a very true and clear attack.  In conjunction with the highest quality electronics, our guitars can be used for a variety of styles, from rock to jazz and beyond.

What kinds of pick-ups and electronics do your guitars have?

At the moment, we are building two types of guitars based on the same platform.  One version uses DiMarzio pots and pickups.  We currently favor the EJ Custom for that model.  For the version that uses tremolo system, we use DiMarzio pots and Lace Senor Gold pickups.  All guitars are fitted with Switchcraft switches and input.
